Where is The Leeds Scare Trails taking place?
– At Golden Acre Park, Leeds
Where can I park?
– There are two car parks at Golden Acre: Otley Road and Arthington Road. However if you are attending the Frightmare Trail, you will need to use the Otley Road car park to get to the trail entrance.
How should I dress?
– As if you’re going for a walk outdoors in October in the UK! Wrap up warm, with sensible shoes as some parts of the trails may be muddy and uneven.

Do I need a ticket?
– Yes, this is a ticketed event. Tickets are £10 for adults, £7 for teens (16 and under).
Do I need to book a time slot?
– Yes, this year we are trialling arrival time slots in order to reduce queue times.
Who can attend this Trail?
– The recommended minimum age is 13, but parental discretion is advised. Under 13’s MUST be accompanied by an adult 18+ at all times. It is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, epilepsy, claustrophobia. If you have mobility issues, please let us know when you arrive – the majority of the Trail follows the park path, however there are certain parts where a steward will guide you to an alternate accessible route.
How many people can you in a group together?
– We have a maximum of 12 people per group. This is so that you can get the most out of the event.
Can I bring my dog?
– No. We have loud, sudden sound effects, pyrotechnics and live actors jumping out. These are unsuitable conditions for dogs. Although you may trust that your dog may be okay, we do not know your dog, and we cannot compromise the safety of our team or other members of the public if your dog reacts badly.
How long is the Trail?
– The Trail takes approximately 50 minutes to walk round, depending on how fast you run from our creatures!!
What will I experience?
– You’ll be subject to disorientating sound, strobe lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and theatrical special effects. You will interact with characters and move through very dark areas of the park.
What if I am genuinely too scared?
– Notify the nearest steward, anyone in a hi-vis jacket, and you’ll be escorted back to the entrance.
Can I bring a torch with me?
– You can, however it may ruin the effect of some scenes that are designed to be dark and scary. Lighting will be in place where it is needed for safety.
Can I have/drink/bring alcohol?
– No. If you’re intoxicated you will be turned away, for your own safety and the safety of our team.
Pumpkin Trail – Sat 29th & Sun 30th Oct
Can I bring my dog?
– YES! Well behaved dogs on leads are more than welcome on the Pumpkin Trail.
How much does it cost?
– Entry is FREE! You can purchase a Trail Sheet for £1 at the entrance – complete it to be entered into the prize draw. There may also be some paid activities and stalls, and there will be donation buckets throughout the trail, as this is a fundraising event for local charities & good causes.
Do I need a ticket?
– No, tickets are not needed for the Pumpkin Trail.
What age is this suitable for?
– The games and activities are aimed at children aged 10 and under, but the whole family is welcome!
Can I bring a pushchair?
– The path up to the Trail is paved and suitable for pushchairs, however some activities are in the wooded areas, so there will be a place to park pushchairs while you go round the trail.
How long is the Trail?
– You can go round the Trail at your own pace, and get involved with as many activities as you like. You can stay for half an hour or four hours, it’s up to you!
